The Problem: 

Parental incarceration places girls at higher risk for anxiety, depression, academic decline, long-term emotional harm, and they are up to 6 times more likely to become incarcerated themselves.

Our Solution: 

At Beauty Marks for Girls, we provide year-round:

• Life-changing mentorship that offers girls stable, trusted adult connections
• Mental-health and emotional regulation support through our H.E.R. Space program
• Academic and college-readiness coaching that keeps girls on track for success
• Hygiene essentials and emergency support that preserve dignity and stability
• Mother–daughter visitation support, providing safe, structured opportunities for girls to reconnect with their incarcerated mothers
• A safe, community-centered environment where girls can grow, heal, and thrive

The Impact

Beauty Marks for Girls exists to stand in the gap and ensure no girl walks parental incarceration alone. We currently serve girls across five counties, have helped three mentees attend college on full-ride scholarships, and proudly maintain a 0% high-school dropout rate among our participants. Every statistic we break represents a life lifted, a story shifted, and a girl who stepped into the future she deserves.
